Term Definition: Computation Independent Model
Main Description
Computation Independent Model (CIM) is from OMG’s Model Driven Architecture (MDA), a view of a system independent of technological concepts and concerns. A CIM does not show details of the structure of systems, or even contain technology notions and concepts. A CIM is sometimes called a domain model and a vocabulary that is familiar to the practitioners of the domain in question is used in its specification.
