Guideline: Manage Follow-up
This document provides guidance on how to ensure that issues or actions resulting from an architecture review or analysis are properly taken care of.

Actions defined during and architecture review or analysis are documented, assigned and tracked in an Artifact: Architecture Review Record.

The Review Record is managed by the assigned authority, which:

  • Updates the document as required based upon input from the people assigned to action items;
  • Notifies actionees of required input or work as needed;
  • Closes the ongoing management of the Review Record when all items have been closed.

This task is made easier through automation. A repository of issues and actions could be used to automate these management tasks, including notifications of actionees.
