Description
Approval to proceed with this update has been granted, but stakeholders need to be involved to ensure that the solutions
and other aspects are in-line with this direction/approval. Once the architecture is updated, it is used within the typical
enterprise "use architecture" processes and planning activities. See: Phase: Use the Architecture.
The Business level will only need updating if there is a fundamental change in the business. This change is typically:
Business Driven - the organization desires to fundamentally change its products and/or
services;
Technology Driven - an issue based upon current technology, or an opportunity based upon
future technology, requires the business to fundamentally change.
Typically these Business level changes are centered upon modifications to business processes, but they may also involve
the creation of totally new products or services and a set of new processes to support them.
